Step-by-Step: How to Check Allahabad HC Case Status Online
Go to the Official Website
Open allahabadhighcourt.in in your browser. This is the official site of the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad. You can also use ecourts.gov.in → 'High Court Services' → Allahabad High Court.
Click 'Case Status' in the Menu
On the homepage, look for the 'Case Status' link in the navigation menu or under 'Litigant Services'. This takes you to the case search portal.
Choose Your Search Method
Select from: (1) Case Number — most precise if you know it; (2) Party Name — search by petitioner or respondent name; (3) Advocate Name — to see all cases of a specific advocate; (4) FIR Number — for criminal matters.
If you don't know the case number, use Party Name search — enter the full name as it appears in legal documents.
Enter Your Details and Search
For case number: enter the case type (WRIT-A, WRIT-B, CRIMINAL MISC, BAIL, etc.), number, and year. Example: WRIT-A 12345/2024. For party name: enter last name or full name and select year range.
Read the Case Status Results
You'll see: Case number, petitioner vs respondent names, current status, next date of listing, bench assignment, and a list of all orders/hearings with dates. Click any date to see what happened at that hearing.
Download Orders as PDF
All orders passed by the court are uploaded to the website. Click any order date → Download PDF. Orders are usually uploaded within 24–48 hours of being passed. These are certified copies for reference (official certified copies require a separate application).
If the order is not uploaded yet, call the HC Section concerned — urgency orders are usually available same day.
