How SearchGuru handles your personal data when you submit a property enquiry.

1. What Data We Collect
When you submit a property enquiry on SearchGuru, we collect: • Name (as entered in the form) • Phone number • Property requirement (type, city, budget range) • Purchase timeline • City and locality preference • Device type and approximate IP-based location (for analytics only) We do not collect government ID, Aadhaar, PAN, financial account details, or documents at the enquiry stage.
2. Why We Collect This Data
We use your data to: • Route your enquiry to a maximum of 2 matched, verified builders or property advisors • Send you a confirmation message (WhatsApp/SMS) acknowledging receipt of your enquiry • Monitor response quality and follow up if a vendor does not contact you within the promised window • Improve our matching algorithm and service quality • Comply with legal obligations
3. Who We Share Your Data With
Your enquiry data is shared only with: • The 1–2 matched builders or advisors for the purpose of responding to your requirement • Our technical service providers (cloud hosting, SMS gateway, analytics tools) under data processing agreements We do NOT share your data with: • Bulk lead aggregators or resellers • Advertising platforms for targeted ads • Any third party unrelated to your stated property requirement
4. How Long We Retain Your Data
Your enquiry record is retained for up to 24 months for service quality and dispute resolution purposes. After 24 months, personal identifiers are anonymised in our analytics systems. You may request earlier deletion at any time — see "Your Rights" below.
5. How We Protect Your Data
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data: • All data is stored on encrypted servers • Access to lead data is restricted to authorised personnel only • Vendor access to your contact details is logged and auditable • We conduct periodic security reviews of our data handling practices No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
6. Cookies and Analytics
SearchGuru uses cookies and web analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using the enquiry form but may affect some functionality.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to: • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you • Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate data • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data from our systems • Objection: Object to the processing of your data for marketing purposes To exercise any of these rights, email support@searchguru.in with your name and phone number as submitted in your enquiry. 8. Third-Party Vendor Privacy
Once your contact details are shared with a builder or advisor, their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy practices. SearchGuru is not responsible for how third-party vendors store or use your data after receipt. We encourage you to ask vendors directly about their data practices if you have concerns.
9. Children's Privacy
SearchGuru's property services are not directed at persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted an enquiry, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of SearchGuru after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
For data access, correction, or deletion requests, email privacy@searchguru.in with your name and registered phone number. We respond within 10 business days.
